Nazo PaperThinking skills to be fostered by the age of 10 !

* Teaching materials that utilize tablets.

Hanamaru Group believes that early childhood is a crucial period for the development of thinking skills. Thinking skills include five different parts; (1) spatial ability, (2) plane fi gures, (3) logical thinking, (4) trial and error, and (5) discovery skills. Nazo Paper helps to cover all the parts to develop these skills through various types of brain teasers that enable children to think flexibly.

Copying texts with an understanding of the context at an appropriate speed is one of the important ways of gaining reading comprehension and grammar.
We use prose and well-know sentences from classical literature.

Practice sharpens math skills, but that practice should be enjoyable and motivating.Therefore, Saboten is all you need to make math practice challenging and fun. It is pointless to compare with other children. We help children to challenge themselves by moving homework forward with one page per day.

We improve children’s creativity through
Tako-Man. It is an activity that encourage them to think freely and speak out their ideas in words.
The teacher shows the class a picture and the children share different ideas of what might happen next. This activity helps children develop their capacity to express their ideas in a clear, accurate and appealing manner.

Pattern MakerLearning plane figures through a game

“Learning plane figures through a game

We use four-piece card sets to help children recognize plane figures. The teacher shows a pattern for only 2 seconds with a shout of, “Open Sesame” Children try to memorize the pattern by taking an imaginary photograph in their head. Then, they try to make the same shape with their own cards. This exciting game develops concentration and teamwork.

A game that fosters spatial ability

We aim to help children to imagine and the rotate three dimensional shapes in their heads in this activity. Using wooden pieces, children make the same shape as a picture shown by a teacher. They We value trial and error to get the right combination of 2 pieces out of 7.

Fostering sensitivity with live music!

Children learn the life histories of well-known composers. Moreover, children have opportunities to listen to live performances of their beautiful and powerful masterpieces to feel the spirit of great music composers.

Experiencing the beauty of poems and literatures

This activity teaches children the beauty of rhythm and sound. Children are exposed to the classics of literature inherited from generation to generation. Therefore we believe it is important to foster the ability to remember and to recite through these sentences of classical literature.

Listen carefully, read correctly

Children read a story silently while the teacher reads it aloud. There will be a quiz time for the details about the story. Children need to close their tablets and try to answer the questions.Therefore, close attention should be paid in order to know the correct answers during the activity.It aims to develop attentive reading skills, which means being able to read closely with good imagination.

Improving thinking ability using digital learning materials

Think!Think! is an application to improve thinking ability. It is an unprecedented learning material developed by Hanamaru Group. All the questions are created by our staff (All of them graduated from the University of Tokyo) Our staff also design questions for the Global Math Challenge. Taking the advantages of using digital contents, students experience simulations of individuals who are good at coming up with innovative ideas and seeing important auxiliary lines to experience the success of solving problems. ※ Global Math Challenge (GMC) is a worldwide math competition held online and hosted by Sony Global Education, Inc.
