Thinking skills can be defined as "making use of a foundation having the will to overcome the problem and reach a solution, and enjoying the moment of facing unfamiliar and challenging problems.
In order to develop their ability to think, a child needs to have many experiences in which they find the solution to a problem by themselves, and become a fan of thinking.
The aims of the early elementary school grades are "posture", "holding a pencil" and "listening" in order to "create a foundation" in the early stages.
Up until the third grade of elementary school, the true nature of a child is taken in account and the 'Joy of Learning' is focused on through games and musical activities which engage the students as a group.
Also, we facilitate a basis for children’s learning enjoyment and thinking enjoyment as well as teach them the mysteries of nature. This creates a sense of pleasure in each child and enables them to gain proper methods of learning and good study habits.
Hanamaru Group uses our original teaching tools. For example, “Cube-Cube” is to develop children’s spatial ability and “Pattern Maker” helps them to get better understanding of plane figures. We think it important to stimulate children’s five senses rather than having them sit and face a desk. We also offer various types of learning materials such as “Think!Think!”, an application with various brain-training programs, “Tanpop”, a collection of classical literature and “Nazo Paper”, our original books for fostering thinking skills.
